‘Parks and Recreation’ Final Season Trailer Brings Drones, Karate and…Terry?
The future of ‘Parks and Recreation’ looks especially grim, but only by the fact that 2015 will bring us the last 13 episodes ever, rather than the spiffy-looking 2017 the characters seem to be enjoying. Drones drop off our packages, Chris Pratt has his own TV show, and more await in the first trailer for the final season of NBC’s ‘Parks and Recreation!’
Having taken us three years into the future by season 6 finale “Moving Up,” our first look at ‘Parks and Recreation’'s final year catches up with a few characters not seen in the flash-forward, including new “mogul” Tom, Johnny Karate’s new gig (and sidekick Gary Terry). Don’t forget all that fabulous future tech either, including delivery drones and opaque touchscreen tablets!
Along with the previously announced returns of ‘Mad Men’’s Jon Hamm, Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones to the fold, ‘Parks and Recreation’’s seventh and final season will also see Nick Offerman’s real-life wife Megan Mullally putting in another appearance as Ron’s ex Tammy 2, reviving an aborted season 6 plot that saw the trouble-making librarian coupled with Leslie’s nemesis Councilman Jamm (Jon Glaser). Additionally, Natalie Morales will reprise her role for multiple episodes as Tom’s ex Lucy, having not been seen since the second season, while Werner Herzog will also put in an appearance, for some reason.
The final season of ‘Parks and Recreation’ will premiere with two new episodes on January 13 (yup, moving to Tuesdays), but in the meantime, check out the new trailer above, and tell us what you want to see from our final year in Pawnee!
