According to Wikipedia, St. Patrick's Day "is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (c. AD 385–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland."

However, we all know it as a reason to drink green beer, car bombs, and whiskey until we are green. Here is a list of toasts for you to cheers to friends and happiness. I'll put these into my phone. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll have a hard time remembering these on Sunday.

To Friendship:
"May the lilt of Irish laughter
lighten every load.
May the mist of Irish magic
shorten every road...
And may all your friends remember
all the favours you are owed!"

To Friendship:
"My friends are the best friends
Loyal, willing and able.
Now let’s get to drinking!
All glasses off the table!"

To Friendship:
"Here’s to you and yours,
And to mine and ours,
And if mine and ours ever come
Across you and yours,
I hope you and yours will do
As much for mine and ours,
As mine and ours have done
For you and yours!"

To Happiness:
"May your heart be light and happy,
May your smile be big and wide,
And may your pockets always have
a coin or two inside!"

To Happiness:
"Health and long life to you.
The wife of your choice to you.
A child every year to you,
And life without rent to you
And may you be half an hour in heaven
Before the devil knows your dead."
