Flooding in June caused some roads into Yellowstone to close, but they're open in time for the rest of the part to close

The Dykhorst family in Sheridan had photos dating back to the late 1800s in their basement when flood waters rapidly flowed in, Michael Dykhorst said.

The weather service credits rainfall of two to four inches throughout the day and increased runoff from snow melt.

Garden Creek has risen by roughly five inches since 8 a.m. this morning, the agency said.
