I'm still hitting myself for missing out on the Macklemore's recent tour. Mind you, I wasn't aware of this talents until AFTER "Thrift Shop" hit the net. Admit it, I'm not the only one who had little clue who this guy was before he blew up.
Who wouldn't like to party it up with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at their wedding? If you don't, then we're gonna go ahead and guess your wedding was going to be lame in the first place and thank you for not inviting us to it.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are going to take a break from popping tags (seriously) to perform at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, which air Sunday, April 14 at 9PM ET.
Meet Alex G, who does a pretty darn credible version of Macklemore's Thrift Shop. She took some liberties with the words. I have to wonder why she edits some things yet still references a 'skeet' blanket??? Maybe she doesn't know what that means?
She reminds me of Amy from Karmin!!! I love this 'vintage' cover of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' Thrift Shop. What do you think? As they say on all of the singing competitions, 'Did they make it their own?'
Have you REALLY listened to Macklemore's Thrift Shop? The first few times your hear it, it feels like pure pop candy: catchy and totally singable. The next couple of listens, you start catching some of the lyrics, like the one about spending $50 on a t-shirt. So, is this song bubble gum or is it lyrical genius?
