The sequel to one of the best ‘Rocky’ movies opens in theaters this November.

So, stop us if you‘ve heard this one before: it’s now 2016, yet another Rocky picture has dealt the box-office a swift uppercut, and Stallone is done, seriously, you’ll see, he means it now.

The announcement that a proposed Rambo legacyquel had landed at FOX brought uncertainty that Sylvester Stallone himself would reprise the role, despite being attached as executive producer. Now, it seems the former John Rambo won’t have any involvement with the series whatsoever, which could well draw final blood from New Blood.

“The way I imagine it, after the fight, he’s riding home in a cab, with the roar of the people chanting ‘Rocky!’ still in his ears. And he just drops over dead. In other words, he has achieved everything possible and he dies when he’s on top. I don’t think people want to see Rocky when he’s 80.”
