The Wanted commandeered the FUSE studios earlier this week, performing extra fun and rousing renditions of ‘Lightning,’ ‘Chasing the Sun’ and ‘Glad You Came’ while fielding questions about the “boy band” label (which can carry a stigma), and their first smooches. All in a days work for the Wanted.

Jay McGuiness — the cute, curly-haired one, if you aren’t in the know — isn’t offended by being dubbed a “boy band.” He said, “That is what we are. We’re not a rock band. We don’t play rock music. Some people think that [a boy band] means you lip sync or dance incredibly well. We do none of those.” Oh, that cheeky humor that is so prevalent in the U.K.! We LOVE it!

Tom Parker shared that his first kiss was with a gal named Ashley and she had small teeth but big gums, while Max George’s first smooch took place in a trailer park. Are your knees weak yet?

During their version of ‘Lightning,’ the cuties bounced up and down, while the throng of fans in the studio audience was louder than they were during the mega smash ‘Glad You Came.’ And in our opinion, ‘Chasing the Sun’ sounds better every time they rock it.
