The dog days of summer are here and what do you think is the hottest temperature that has ever been recorded in the state?

We know it can get hot but I know I have never seen or felt it this hot in Wyoming before. Hottest temperature ever recorded according to coolweather.net: Hottest temperature ever recorded: 116 F, Basin, north-central Wyoming, 8/8/1983. Wow that is hot! At that point being outside is hard on the body especially if not use to it and 1983 isn't that long ago. I bet some people you know remember how hot it was that year.

Wyoming also had one year where 41 days it was in the 90's... straight. That was set in July through August 1964 with 41 days at Basin, Wyoming.
