The singer, looking fine in a green jacket, shades and a bling rope chain, was doing those cool, robotic, choreographed moves while flanked by bootylicious dancers during ‘OMG.’ Is it us or can Usher groove like Michael Jackson?

The song was a high-energy way to kick off the summer. But Usher is about dynamics, offering up one fast song and then one slow tempo sexy jam. It was a welcome balance that showed both sides of the R&B superstar.

Before he performed the falsetto-driven, sexy jam ‘Climax,’ he spoke about his evolution as an artist. While his accolades – sales numbers and industry awards like Grammys — were mentioned, he spoke about how important it is to be a father and to raise his kids into fine, incredible young men and gave them a shout out, since they were watching at home.

Too cute. We like seeing Usher in dad mode amidst a national TV performance. He then launched into ‘Climax’ and mid-song, he ripped off the jacket to show off his toned arms. It was met with screams from the crowd. He even sang on his knees a little bit, too.

Donna Summer‘s family issued a formal statement about her death from cancer yesterday at the age of 63, thanking fans for their prayers and remembering the disco icon’s accomplishments.

The message from the Sudano family, issued yesterday, read:

“Early this morning, surrounded by family, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith. While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can’t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time.”

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Salvation Army. The family did not announce the funeral arrangements, though some outlets are now reporting that a funeral service for friends and family will take place on May 21 in Nashville.

Summer’s fellow performers, including Rihanna, Mary J. Blige and Adam Lambert, have been speaking out on Twitter to remember the singer, who scored more than a dozen Top 10 hits in the ’70s and ’80s, including ‘Hot Stuff,’ ‘Last Dance,’ ‘Bad Girls’ and ‘She Works Hard for the Money.’ Summer’s greatest hits collection shot into the Top 10 on iTunes less than 24 hours after her death.

Miley Cyrus sat down for an episode of ‘The Conversation,’ and the wise-beyond-her-years starlet revealed the best advice she would give to her 14-year-old self — the same 14-year-old who was topping the charts and on top of the world as ‘Hannah Montana.’ Her words are tried and true.

“My dad always said it to me,” Cyrus began, “and I never really listened. I would always sweat the small stuff. I think it’s ‘This too shall pass,’” she said. “Something that I so needed to remember that young — even now, if anything happens, it’s the end of the world,” she added. “I think that’s something I need to remember.”

The ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ singer also revealed that she had a major breakup when she was 14 years old that shook her to her core and made her pretty insecure for a while. “I had my biggest heartbreak when I was 14 years old,” she said. “It sounds crazy, because I was 14,” she admitted, “but that’s what love was to me. I was in love with somebody. I was in love with this person that I thought was perfect and so amazing, and when you get your heart broken, that’s all you see,” she said. “‘The rest of my life is ruined because he doesn’t love me back! If he doesn’t think I’m pretty, then I’m not pretty. If he doesn’t think I’m worth his time, I’m not worth anyone’s time.’” Jeez, Nick Jonas, what’d you do to our girl?!

“So I think just ‘This too shall pass’ and ‘It’s not the end of the world,’” she summarized. “It’s not the end of the world until there’s no more pulse. You’ve got to keep going,” she said. “That’s something I always tell myself. It’s kind of generic, but it’s true. It’s a big something to remember.”

Listen up, fans of Jennifer Lopez and ‘American Idol.’ When she has something to reveal about her future with the show, she will do it directly.

The diva took to Twitter to address the spiraling rumors that she is leaving the show after this season, which is her second year as a judge. She posted on her feed that she will let people know when she makes her decision.

Turns out her brief bout with baby blues isn’t the only topic she is being misquoted about!

Lopez, who told Ellen DeGeneres on her namesake show that she “enjoys” the show, intimated that it may be time to move on. She stated, “This is my second year. I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down.” Sounds like she was musing out loud without confirming anything. But the press took it and ran with it, and everyone is wondering, “Will J. Lo be back?”

Lopez’s two tweets on the matter are below. She says that she is not leaving. She just hasn’t made her choice to stay or go yet. Of course, we’re sure the producers of the shows have seen this media blitz that ensued from her being vocal about her status and surely want her to stay. It could be a subtle way for the singer / actress to bargain for a salary bump for Season 12 in 2013.

Lopez also tweeted that when she makes her decision, she will share it forthrightly.

Fans have been waiting with bated breath for The-Dream to drop the fourth installment of his ‘Love’ series, and it looks like it’s coming real soon. The hitmaker has penciled in Aug. 14 as the release date for his new LP ‘Love IV MMXXII.’

For those who may not be familiar with Roman numerals, the ‘Love IV MMXII’ stands for “Love 4 2012.” Clever, huh?

The collection is the follow-up to his free album ’1977,’ which he released last summer under his government name, Terius Nash. ‘Love IV’ will feature guest appearances from Mary J. Blige and Gucci Mane, according to Idolator. He already released the LP’s teaser single ‘Kill the Lights,’ which features his R&B protege Casha.

The-Dream made a formal announcement on Wednesday (May 16) via his Twitter page that ‘Love’ is in the air.

“LOVE IV is the BEST Album I’ve made. I don’t care what the sales will be,” he tweeted to his fans. “I will do my best to Challenge your Taste And Knowledge.”

“I will Leave no Holes in this Album Period, no room to be Hated only Adored or simply just say ‘you don’t f— with me,’ he continued. “But what U won’t Say is Dream Album is Mediocre or Sucks. I will Never Be your Star I’m [too] G and [too] Westside for that.”

He then finished his Twitter rant with, “I will never Sellout Arenas because since ‘Love Hate’ I didn’t Sellout! And no matter how much you hate me you got to Respect that!”

We’ll have to wait and see if The-Dream will get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T come August.

What year is this?  If Ashton Kutcher returns to hosting duties for MTV’s hit prank show ‘Punk’d,’ does that mean ‘The Matrix’ sequels have come out?  Did President Gore implement his global warming solutions?  Are we still waiting for Guns ‘N’ Roses to release their masterpiece “Chinese Democracy?”  Well, if MTV ever takes a break from showing wall-to-wall music videos, we’ve got good news for Ashton Kutcher fans!

Former ‘Punk’d’ host, movie star and turtleneck-wearing Apple honcho Steve Jobs Ashton Kutcher will soon return to his roots, according to MTV.  No, it’s not the long-awaited revival of ‘That 80′s Show’ we’ve all been waiting for (we’ll not speak of the other one), but rather MTV has announced that Kutcher will once again take hosting duties for the revived celebrity pranking series, however briefly.

Kutcher, who first created the show back in 2003 and hosted until 2007, will return to the throne for one night only on June 3 as part of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards pre-show, hosted by English funnyman Russell Brand.  Reportedly, Kutcher’s installment will punk two high-profile celebrities whose identities have yet to be revealed.  As EW points out, it’s likely that the would be stars with upcoming projects to promote, but there may never be a better opportunity to reprise Kutcher’s legendary pranking spree on Justin Timberlake.  A fan can dream.

‘Punk’d’ ended its Kutcher-centric run in 2007, only to revive this year without the former ‘That 70′s Show star in the lead, instead rotating celebrity hosts from week to week.

Is Walmart doing the devil’s bidding? Relax, we’re not talking about its associates policy or pricing strategies. A Forth Worth, Texas customer took her car in for an oil change at the retailer – is there nothing Walmart can’t do or sell, which would make it omnipotent and godlike?- and emerged with Satanic symbols on the undercarriage.

According to the local CBS station, the woman, who is referred to simply as “Jessica,” interacted with a mechanic with “attitude.” He was an MWA — mechanic with attitude. He can start his own Satanic rap group. Sorry, we’re getting off topic here. She claims this mechanic drew a 666, an upside down cross and a pentagram, all symbols associated with Satan and heavy metal bands, with a blue sealant.

She wasn’t made ware of the symbols until another mechanic at a separate location pointed them out later, who recognized the sealant used by the discount mega retailer at most car stations. There wasn’t a clear explanation as to why the mechanic take such a course of action, other than being in league with Lucifer and perhaps tiffing with Jess when she initially brought her wheels in for servicing.

“Who does that?” Jessica said. “I mean, what if it’s a curse?”

Jess, honey, it’s not a curse. It’s just a couple of scary symbols meant to invoke a little fear. It’s not like he’s sacrificing virgins… or is he?

Police say they believe the deaths of a Casper couple were the result of a murder-suicide.  The bodies of 60-year-old Walt McMillin and his 55-year-old wife Jodi were discovered around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.  Investigators say someone from Walt McMillan’s place of employment called police after he failed to show up for work at the Salvation Army.

The bodies were found in the living room of the couple’s home on the 400 block of West 12^th.  Police say both had died from gunshot wounds to the head from a .38 caliber revolver.  Officials believe the shooting happened sometime Tuesday between 10:00 p.m. and midnight.

Police are still trying to determine who the shooter was.  According to investigators, alcohol use may have played a role in the deadly shooting.  Autopsies are planned this weekend.

Thursday’s investigation took place near a number of Natrona County schools.  District officials issued a phone-alert, notifying parents that there was no danger to students, and schools were not placed on lockdown.

Last night, Conan O’Brien visited ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ – his first appearance on that show in over 13 years and his first late-night appearance since being fired as host of ‘The Tonight Show.’ Naturally with their combined dislike of Jay Leno, you could see where the interview would be going…

It didn’t take long before Letterman brought up Jay Leno with Conan who quipped he had no idea the topic would come up.  Said Conan of their interview and the eventual Leno discussion:

“You know [Leno is] watching right now. He’s getting a live feed in a satellite truck right now, watching every second.”

For his part, Letterman said he was “delighted” by everything that went down with Leno, Conan and ‘The Tonight Show’ with the exception, of course, of Conan losing his job.  They each did their Leno impressions – the squeaky voice, the head bob, etc. – and generally had a few laughs at ‘The Tonight Show’ host’s expense. All in good fun (ahem).

Lady Gaga is living it up on the Born This Way Ball tour. The Mother Monster hit the karaoke bar in Tokyo and fraternized with Japanese little monsters, who gifted her with homemade items.

She wore a black, studded bodysuit that would set off airport metal detectors and cause you to lose an eye if you stumbled towards her, leopard or studded platforms (we can’t quite tell) and fishnets.

Thankfully, her pal Terry Richardson was there to capture it all and share it with the global monster legion.

Gaga sang “I want your leather-studded kiss in the sand” in ‘Bad Romance’ and she certainly wore a heavy duty leather studded outfit while doing karaoke. She’s rivaling Judas Priest singer Rob Halford for the most studs and leather on a single item of clothing.

Take a peak at the gifts that the little monsters made for her. They are so cute and feature Gaga-centric symbols — like unicorns, dagger nails, crosses and more. There’s never been any question that the little monsters are a creative bunch, but their dedication is inspiring. It takes a long time to make crafts such as these.

The Mother Monster may be far, far away but she feel so close to home, thanks all of this photographic evidence.

Bad Boy recording artist Machine Gun Kelly (also known simply as MGK), is set to headline this weekend’s concert with Tech N9ne at the Casper Events Center on Saturday.

MGK made his mark on the hip-hop world after releasing a series of underground mix-tapes. These caught the eye of rap mogul and Bad Boy Records CEO, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who signed him to the label. He has since released an EP entitled: ‘Half Naked & Almost Famous’ as well as a handful of videos featuring artists from Waka Flocka Flame, 2 Chainz and Mystikal to Steve-O from MTV’s hit show Jackass.

Pink graces the June 2012 cover of Cosmo, looking slim and trim in a red bandage dress. Less than a year after giving birth to daughter Willow Sage, new mom Pink has dropped the baby weight and looks banging. She was candid about how her life has changed since welcoming Willow into the world.

“I’m used to going into the studio and smoking and drinking until three in the morning,” the singer confessed to the mag. “But I can’t drink as much because I’m breastfeeding. See this glass of wine? Before, I’d have, like, four of them. Now, one is good. Oh, and I quit smoking… I’ve exorcised a lot of my demons, but I’m still working on myself. I think I’ll be a work in progress for the rest of my life.”

The singer also shared that Willow sleeps in bed with her mom and dad, so she and hubby Carey Hart have to “schedule” alone time! “We’ve never had a problem with affection. But with a baby? It’s kinda gross, but you have to schedule it,” she said.

The parents are thinking of rearranging Willow’s sleeping accomodations at some point. “We’re just starting to think about putting her somewhere else, at least for a little while,” the songstress said. “Either that, or we’ll have to resort to getting it on in the laundry room.”

Speaking of sexy, the singer was not shy about saying she did not feel beautiful with a bulging belly. She gained 55 pounds during the gestation period, joking “my baby may be part cheesecake.” She didn’t feel pretty, at all. “I thought I’d feel like a goddess. They sell you on that… like you’ll never feel more feminine. Really, I just felt like a mess,” Pink said.

Feeling like a mess at the time or not, she looks uh-mazing right now.

There are hundreds of Beastie Boys tributes on the Internet, including our favorite ‘Sabotage‘ clip by some adorable kids. But a cool video recently surfaced of a rare unaired performance from the trio.

Oh No They Didn’t posted a video of the Beastie Boys performing ‘The New Style’ on ‘Chappelle’s Show.’ Originally, the show’s co-creator Neal Brennan posted it on his YouTube but was taken down by Viacom due to copyright issues. According to Brennan, the performance was slated for the third season of ‘Chappelle’s Show’ but never aired after Dave Chappelle abruptly quit the show.

In the grainy video, the Beasties are performing ‘The New Style’ outside in the dead of winter. WTF? Dressed in heavy coats, the trio performed their sample-heavy track next to the Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty. Although it was cold outside, the Beasties were heating the mics up with their back-and-forth wordplays. Props to Mixmaster Mike for his superior turntable skills and switching up the beat near the end of the song.

Overall, the Beastie Boys showed how much they love hip-hop and the city of New Yawk. It’s a wonderful tribute to their late member Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch.

Following in the footsteps of Jay-Z, rapper T.I. also supports President Obama’s recent announcement of his support for states to legalize same-sex marriages. The controversial issue has sparked plenty of non-stop debates between gay advocates and political pundits.

For the Atlanta rapper, gay marriage is a matter of a personal choice and holds no bias on the hot-button topic. “Just to speak honestly and being frank, I don’t care,” said T.I. on Wednesday’s episode (May 16) of RapFix Live. “I think that if a matter doesn’t affect your daily life, you shouldn’t take a hard stand on it. If it’s not something that directly affects you, if it doesn’t affect you, what difference does it make to you what other people are doing with their lives?”

“I think that you should be able to do whatever you want to do,” he continued. “I don’t see how it matters one way or another.”

As we previously reported, Jay-Z co-signed with POTUS’ stance on same-sex marriage during an interview with CNN.

“I’ve always thought it as something that was still holding the country back,” Jay said. “What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It’s no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination plain and simple.”

When Jay-Z was asked if he felt Obama’s decision to support gay marriage would cost him votes, he shrugged it off. “I think it was the right thing to do,” he said. “So whether it cost him votes or not — it’s really not about votes, it’s about people. So whether it cost him votes or not, I think it was the right thing to do as a human being.”

A few years ago, it looked as if Jennifer Lopez had lost her clout as a celebrity. But since she joined ‘American Idol‘ two years ago, Lopez has reinvigorated her career in a dramatic way. And now, she’s made the top spot on Forbes’ list of the 100 most powerful celebs in the world. As Lopez herself might say, that’s enough to give us “goosies.”

According to an article written by Forbes staffer Dorothy Pomerantz, Lopez’s success started with her stint on ‘Idol,’ which “gave her a platform to promote her music and turn her image around.” Then, after divorcing husband Marc Anthony, Lopez “lapped up the media attention and scored lucrative endorsement deals with companies like L’Oreal and Gillette.”

From there, Lopez created a line of clothing at Kohl’s, a fragrance and netted herself a $20 million deal for her second season on ‘Idol.’ And let’s not forget that Lopez has also established herself as a “master of social media” with 6.6 million Twitter followers and 12 million Facebook fans.

Interestingly, Lopez unseated Lady Gaga for the top spot on the list, and now ranks higher than Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber, who came in second and third, respectively.

Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios, which borrowed $75 million from the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation, is hurting financially and may be unable to pay back its debt.

That’s bad news for people who dug the studio’s debut game, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, because it means that we probably won’t be seeing a sequel or the long-in-development massively multiplayer online game any time soon.

Joystiq reports that a default on the bond would mean the Kingdoms of Amalur franchise would belong to the Rhode Island taxpayers. At that point the state would probably auction off the franchise for far less than its debt and eat the loss.

Maybe a publisher that respects Amalur’s potential could come along, snatch it up and do the series justice. And maybe Schilling will report back to the Boston Red Sox and score a ridiculous signing bonus that lets him pay off the debt and keep his game company’s intellectual property. Neither scenario is likely.

Let this be a lesson to states business-promoting organizations: Beware of lending money to baseball legends who are dabbling in the videogame business.

Simon Cowell went through hell, high water, a conservatorship and $15 million to sign Britney Spears on to ‘X Factor.’ As a result, it’s going to take a lot more than the possibility of a meltdown to make him give that cash cow of a judge up!

TMZ cameras caught up with Cowell as he left a dinner date (platonic, mind you!) with fellow new ‘X Factor’ judge Demi Lovato. The polite-yet-aggressive film crew asked Cowell, “Do you think you’re going to get to 20 million viewers?” Cowell gave a sly smile and replied, “I think we’ll get close.”

They then asked, “Are you nervous with Britney being on live TV?” Cowell, ever professional, replied, “Not at all. Wait and see!” The site reports that some people are worried about Spears ongoing mental health issues, considering she’s still under a conservatorship, but she seems happy and excited about gig. TMZ also pointed that Spears is back her bad nail biting habit, a sign that she may be facing some anxiety about the job. Or maybe she just hasn’t had a manicure in a while!

At the Upfronts, Spears was excited about “inspiring the contestants,” telling press, “They’re so young and they’re fulfilling their dreams. It’s just a whole beautiful concept, so being able to be a part of this is really cool.” Aw, Brit!

It’s just that looking at images of Jennifer Lopez in an assortment of swimsuits from her spread in the June issue of Vogue had us breaking a sweat and feeling feverish. J. The Forbes Celebrity 100 list topper and ‘American Idol‘ judge was shot by famed photog Mario Testino, and she’s glistening and gorgeous. At 42, J. Lo puts divas half her age to shame with THAT figure. No wonder her boyfriend, dancer Casper Smart, 25, is enraptured by her.

J. Lo is catching rays in a black, criss-crossed suit, one we would not recommend for tanning. Imagine the tan lines! Same can be said for the red one-piece.

The maroon suit is dangerously low cut and oh-so-sexy. She could wear it while making sandcastles with Max and Emme without sacrificing her innate hotness or looking inappropriate. The one-strap white suit is the most mom-friendly and fashion-forward, which might seem mutually exclusive, but J. Lo makes it work.

The gold bikini makes us jealous. Really. J Lo, can we have your bod?

Lopez’s most famous asset, her round bootay, is NOT prominently featured in this spread. But she more than makes up for it with the abs.

The issue lands May 22. La Lopez was the April cover girl but the fashion bible can’t get enough of her or that hard body.

A Canadian website is selling a pendant that contains the DNA of its country’s national treasure, according to Canada.com.

The head scientist at the company is Ryan Lehto – and we use that term “scientist” loosely. He claims that his employer “obtained his hair DNA due to popular demand and because we like that he is Canadian and how he went from YouTube to an international superstar!” How intellectual of the “scientist” to reveal that The Biebs’ nationality determined their decision to sell his DNA.

So did they yank a strand from The Biebs’ head while he was trapped in a crowd of fans? Did they break into his house and swipe strands from his hair brush? Did they get it on the black market, if there is such a thing for Bieber contraband and genetic material? Did they get it from Mariah Yeater, the woman who claimed that The Biebs fathered her son? See where we are going with this…

The pendants, which make us think of the time when Angelina Jolie and her then-hubby carried vials of each other’s blood around their necks while apart, comes with a $120 price tag, a silver box chain and a certificate of authenticity.
