Throwback Thursday is seeing another first (do you see a trend forming here?). This is the first week a female vocalist or rapper has gotten the highlight. And what better woman to lead the pack then Da Brat. Coming out on the rap scene in 1994, she was one of the pioneers of that more hardcore sound. She was also one of the first females to mix the hardcore lyrical talent with party beats which made her commercially marketable, thanks in part to production from So So Def label head, Jermaine Dupri.

Lay back and get Funkdafied with the Da Brat.
