The Onion is one of my favorite things about the internet. If you're not familiar, they are a satire site that writes stories that aren't true, but are hilarious. Wyoming has been the butt of their jokes many times. Here are 3 of my favorites.

Ah, yes. The Secretary of the Interior claiming the government wants to knock down the Rocky Mountains to "allow for more natural light" for Wyoming and the western states. You would not believe how many people got mad thinking this was a real story. Classic.

Typo Results In 10,000-Acre Wyoming Skate Park

A typo resulting in "construction of the 10,020-acre Henrietta Bedford Memorial Skate Park" story caused an uproar when many feared that a huge part of Wyoming was being converted into a massive skate park. People got majorly ticked thinking the trees were gonna be removed so killer skate ramps could be constructed. You can put your pitchforks down, people. This was nothing more than a (very funny) joke.

News Of Jenna Elfman Sitcom Sends Herd Of Buffalo Into Wild Stampede

This story began with "Hundreds of buffalo thundered across the Wyoming plains Thursday after news of actress Jenna Elfman's latest sitcom, Accidentally On Purpose, spooked the unsuspecting herbivores." This one was actually quite believable for me. If you saw the show, you'll understand why our buffalo would be scared. I know I was.
