Casper Fire Department Trains With A Night Climb [VIDEO]
If you suffer from acrophobia (fear of heights), this would not be the job for you!
Some of our friendly neighborhood Casper firemen engaged in a night climb yesterday evening (April 12th, 2017) around 8:30 PM. We had the privilege of speaking with Dane Andersen, Public Information Officer of the Casper Fire-EMS Department and a firefighter. He gave some pretty good insight on the need for night training and why it's vital to the job.
The ladder on truck-1 at full extension is over 100-feet high! To add a little more difficulty to the climb, it was also set at an 80-degree angle.
If you've never seen the ladder in the night sky emblazoned with it's neon lights, it is truly a sight to behold.
