If you're a Wyoming woman, you will likely get a big laugh out of this one. Science has just declared that you would sleep better with a dog than a man.

I saw this trending on Digly this week. It's based on a new study by Taylor Francis Online. It's got a really fun scientific title:

An Examination of Adult Women’s Sleep Quality and Sleep Routines in Relation to Pet Ownership and Bedsharing

There's a lot of technical info in their study, but the bottom line is this. Women say they sleep better when there's a dog in bed and not a man. They feel like their quality of sleep is better and dogs smell better. I made that last part up, but in some cases it is frighteningly true.

It was also curious that the study says that women with dogs tend to go to bed earlier than those that don't.

One other funny tidbit is that many women said in the study that cats and men both tend to be disruptive to sleep while dogs are like big comforting pillows with ears.

What say you?
