The next scheduled community walk, bike, skate, run along the Platte River Parkway will be held on Monday, June 23, beginning at Morad Park at 6:00 p.m. and ending at Mills First Street Park. Runners and walkers of all speeds are welcomed along with cyclists and any other non-motorized method of transportation. The event is free; refreshments and Casper Area Transportation Coalition (CATC) shuttle service to or from parking areas will be provided.

Walks along the Platte River Parkway will be held each Monday evening through the end of July. The route is approximately 2 miles long. Each week, the event will have a different starting point so that participants will have traveled the entire distance of the Platte River Parkway and the Casper Rails to Trails by the end of the program through weekly participation. Strider bikes will be available for use for children 60 pounds and under.

The free community walks are offered in collaboration with the CINCH-Casper’s Initiative to Nurture Community Health, Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming, Wyoming Medical Center, Wyoming Health Fairs, City of Casper Recreation Division, CATC, Casper Family YMCA, Casper Natrona County Health Department, Mountain Pacific Quality Health, University of Wyoming Extension Office and the Platte River Trails.
