A man was arrested in Natrona County after he allegedly sexually assaulted, fired a gun at and tried to run over a woman Sunday afternoon.

Lloyd Thompson appeared in Natrona County Circuit Court Monday on charges of first- and second-degree sexual assault along with three counts of aggravated assault.

Thompson and the alleged victim live together, according to court documents.

According to a heavily redacted affidavit of probable cause, a witness called 911 after she saw Thompson in a vehicle following the woman and begging her to get in. Eventually, Thompson allegedly took a firearm from the vehicle, pointed it at the woman and fired one shot, missing her.

The affidavit alleges the witness told deputies that after she saw Thompson shoot his gun at the alleged victim, Thompson began trying to run the alleged victim over with the jeep he was driving. The witness said she thought Thompson was going to kill the alleged victim.

A sheriff's investigator interviewed the victim who said she arrived home and Thompson was very drunk, according to the affidavit. Thompson then began accusing the alleged victim of sleeping with other men. He allegedly took the victim's underwear off and touched her genitals. When Thompson tried to have sex with the victim, she refused which enraged him, according to court documents.

The victim then tried to leave the home and was walking alongside a highway when she heard Thompson get into a Jeep and start chasing her, the affidavit alleges.

According to the affidavit, Thompson told the alleged victim if she didn't stop walking she was "going to get a couple rounds." Shortly after, he fired his gun in her general direction.

The alleged victim kept walking until law enforcement arrived. Deputies noted that Thompson was drunk and a breathalyzer test reflected a blood alcohol content of .148, according to the affidavit.

Thompson's bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety Monday afternoon.
