Today's news that George Lucas is selling Lucasfilm and 'Star Wars' to Disney is so crazy that it's hard to believe it's true. Which may be why Lucas made a video to talk about the handover.

He talks about wanting to retire, and how Kathleen Kennedy and Disney are the perfect people to take over for him. But - perhaps more importantly - he also talks about how they've been conceiving the next trilogy, and that there may be other films as well.

Both these pieces are exciting, as it suggests that they've already begun working on the next film, which is announced to come sometime in 2015, with the second and third coming every other year (which would be in 2017 and 2019). If that is the production schedule, it's all the more likely that this is one of the best kept secrets in Hollywood for years. It also raises a nerd question: With 'The Avengers 2' already staked out for May 1, 2015, will this be the first 'Star Wars' movie to not open in May? And who are the creative team working on this new one?

These are the questions that are going to be ringing through the geek stratosphere until there are answers, but with a possible release date already mentioned, it's likely we'll be hearing who's working on it shortly. But until then, here's George Lucas:
