Here Are The Top 5 Things Casperites Should Stop Doing Immediately
Wyoming is a great place to live, Casper even more so, but here is a list of things that should stop, as of right this second. In my humble opinion, not doing these few things will make your life more bearable in Oil City.

Stop Badmouthing Casper On Social Media
This is a personal pet peeve. There is nowhere in the world that is perfect, but we have a lot less negative issues then the rest of the country.
Casper (as well as the rest of the state) is beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking. We don't have most big city problems, like a high crime rate or bad traffic. Also, contrary to popular belief, we actually do experience all four seasons.
There are a lot of worse places to be. If you don't like it, well... there's the door, but we're betting you'll be back eventually and with an entire different outlook.

Stop Taking Up Multiple Parking Spaces
I have been very vocal about this in the past and will continue to do so. We are not a major metropolitan area. Translation: no business in town is really a long distance away from the parking lot. If you have a nice beautiful vehicle you don't want to see damaged, I can understand that.
The solution: park further away and walk!
The mall and the two Wal-Mart locations are where I notice this the most, but I've seen it downtown where parking is already scarce.
Cut it out!

Stop Complaining About The Weather
No matter what the temperature or what time of year it is, someone is always unhappy. They're either too hot or too cold.
If you've lived here longer than a month, you should be prepared for it to be freezing cold in the morning, but still 90° to 100° in the summer. This is also means you should know it can easily hit those bone-chilling cold temperatures in the winter. You should also know to be prepared for the wind year round. If this year is any indicator, be prepared for tornadoes as well.

Stop Making New Facebook Pages All The Time
Okay, this one EVERYONE on the planet should stop doing.
If you have to make a new account for some sort of legal reason (like you're being stalked), I understand. But if you're making a new one because your name changed (like you got married or divorced) or just because you forgot your password, that gets annoying.
When your birthday pops up and I have more than two versions of you showing up, I'm un-friending you just out of principle.

Stop Saying There's Nothing To Do
Casper has grown so much in the last 15 years that it's still sometimes hard to believe.
We have more food choices, more entertainment options and more well-known, headlining quality concert acts (in all genres) in the last 5 years than probably the previous couple of decades.
Summer is over and school has started again, but that doesn't mean that even the outside fun has to end. There is always plenty to do here. Sometimes you just need to open your eyes and ears and more importantly, be brave enough to try something new.
