Wyomingites have been suffering under almost daily air quality advisories as fires relentlessly pump smoke into our state.

Where is that Wyoming wind we are so famous for?

With no wind to blow it out, that smoke just says put and gets thicker.

Well, if we are stuck in this pattern for a while then why not have a little fun with it.

Here are a few songs and singers that deal with smoke.

DEEP PURPLE, Smoke on the water.

This song has the perfect words for mountain fires in Wyoming.

Smoke on the water.

Fire in the sky.

Don't know the words to the rest of the song?

Who cares? You just need the chorus.

Smoke, Maddie & Tae

These two ladies sing about smoke on the wind being bad for you.

It's a relationship song but the sentiment is the same.

Just sing the chorus, and you'll be fine.

Willie Nelson, Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die

Okay, maybe not the proper sentiment here.

But we all smell like smoke by now, so, what the heck?

Sing along with WILLIE!

Secondhand Smoke, Kelsea Ballerini

The song is rather complicated but the choris is just what you need to belt out.

I don't want to choke on that second hand smoke.

Kacey Musgraves, Blowin' Smoke

This is a song about someone who has just had enough and needs to get out of town.

Everybody talks about making changes in their life but they are just blowing smoke.

This young lady is not. She wasn't blowing smoke.

WAIT- let's try something different for this next one.

BILLY JOEL, We Didn't Start The Fire.

A good song, because we really didn't start the fire.

But we have to deal with it.

I wanted to pick a song by Smokey Robinson.

There was not one about smoke or fire. But there is 'Tracks Of My Tears'.

Yeah, our eyes are watering from all this smoke, so let's go with it.

FINALLY!

Let's go old school.

Tex Williams, Smoke! Smoke! Smoke That Cigarette.

Not a cigarette smoker?

You might as well be these days.

Breathtaking photos of badass pilots scooping water from Glendo Reservoir, Wyoming.

The fire is just off to the west in the Laramie Range.

It has grown out of control, literally overnight.

There is only one way to fight in this remote location.
