You Know Its November In Wyoming – WHEN!
TRUE STORY!
Sunday morning, November 9th, 2025. It is 5:30 am, and I stop at a Maveric convenience store to grab some coffee.
Normally, on a Sunday morning at this early hour, I am the only customer. But on this morning, before sunup, every gas pump is full with more vehicles waiting. Big pickup trucks, some with trailers hauling side-by-sides.
There are a lot of people standing around filling their vehicles or waiting to do so. Men, women, all ages, even a few kids.
They are all wearing camouflage.
I step inside to see the store is full of even more camouflage-wearing folks. It seems that coffee and those bags of white powdered donuts are the preferred items to buy.
Later that day, I was eating lunch at a little local restaurant when we saw a small white, two-door car pull into the parking lot. Two dead deer were tied to its roof. Their heads dropped slightly over the windshield.
The owner of the little white car walked in and picked up a pre-ordered lunch, then casually walked back to his car and drove off.
We could hear comments from others in the restaurant about what a good morning that hunter had. Nobody seemed to think that anything unusual had happened. Just a comment or town on how that fellow needed a pickup truck.
Conclusion! - IT MUST BE NOVEMBER IN WYOMING!
It is time for the hunt, and this was the first nice day that anyone had seen in a while.
Good hunting, everyone. Be safe.
