The group Powering Up Wyoming has spent several years promoting wind and solar power in the Cowboy State.

Much of their media push has been on social media platforms like Facebook.

But leaving the comment section as an open form is not always a good idea, as the critics of wind and solar power in Wyoming are many.

An example of this is a recent post, which can be seen below.

The post includes a link to the group's YouTube page and a video that promotes what they consider the financial benefits of wind and solar energy for Wyoming ranchers.

Out of 1.7K comments, most of them are negative, and the debate rages on posts like this.

This is a good place for the public to come and debate the issue.

Though it seems that nobody is changing anybody's mind.

The GOP and the Trump administration are working to remove both the tax breaks and subsidies for wind and solar.

These breaks and payments are seen as an unfair advantage given to this industry, while coal, gas, and oil have been taxed heavily and regulated far more than their wind and solar competitors.

That leaves the question of whether these projects can exist without government incentives.

For ranchers who struggle year after year, those financial incentives are tempting.

They might even catch hell from their neighbors, but their pockets are full if they take the deal, and their financial worries are over.

Until the subsidies are cut by the current administration.

Then what?
