Midnight Pursuit Reaches 150 Miles Per Hour On Interstate 25
Two people were booked into the Larimer County Jail on Tuesday after allegedly reaching speeds of over 150 miles per hour on a highway rampage that included three counties in two states.
The suspects were eventually arrested in Weld County after the sheriff's office used a drone to find them.
That's according to posts on the Larimer County and Weld County sheriff's offices in Facebook.
Chase Started Near Wellington, Colorado
According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, just before midnight on November 10, deputies tried to stop a vehicle for driving at dangerously high speeds on Interstate 25 near Wellington. The driver sped north on I-25 into Laramie County, turned back into Colorado. He then got off the highway at the Carr exit and turned his headlights off. Deputies spotted the vehicle but then lost sight of the car as it sped away at dangerously high speeds once again.
According to the post on the Larimer County Sheriff's Office page: "At 12:45 a.m., a deputy found the vehicle parked near Weld CR 15 & Weld CR 116 with just the female passenger inside. The woman refused to provide information about the driver and was ultimately arrested on several charges including Obstructing, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, False Reporting, and Prohibited Use of a Weapon (a handgun was located in the vehicle)
Larimer County authorities asked for help from the Weld County drone team in finding the driver of the vehicle. The Weld County Sheriff's Office posted a video of the drone search on their Facebook page:

The drone operator was able to locate the suspect using the drone's heat signature capabilities, according to the Weld County Sheriff's Facebook post. The suspect was found near a fence line covered in tumbleweeds.
The suspect was booked into the Larimer County Detention Center on several charges, including including DUI, felony eluding, and prohibited use of a weapon.
The post does not identify either suspect by name. But the Larimer County Post thanks the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Laramie County Sheriff's Office for helping to safely resolve the situation.
