Lady Gaga Attacked Again by PETA as Heartless, Meat Dress Is On Tour

Furgate was so August 2012, but the controversy is not dying down and has reared its head yet again. PETA, who attacked Lady Gaga for wearing fur, to which she responded vaguely without ever confirming or denying if her coats were made of authentic or synthetic pelts, is at it again, this time calling the Mother Monster heartless, saying that she needs someone to “buy her a heart.” They are pretty much comparing her to the Tin Man from ‘The Wizard of Oz.’

E! reports that Gaga was seen in Cologne, Germany last week wearing a white, fox fur scarf, which she accessorized with a full white outfit, heels and an elaborate headdress. But the fox wasn’t just an animal skin or a replica of an animal skin, if you are giving Gaga the benefit of the doubt and assume that her furs might be fake. The fox fur scarf still had its face. That’s pretty creepy, even for Gaga.

Something tells us that the scarf had to be faux, since who in their right mind would want a dead animal staring them right in the face, hanging out on their shoulder. We’re just not feeling taxidermy as high fashion.

While we’re all for subversive and limits-pushing fashion, this is too much. That’s what makes us think it’s not real. This outfit is so dangerously far out in left field!

PETA reps said, “The outfit really speaks for itself. PETA is considering passing the hat so that someone can buy her a heart.”

In other Gaga-wears-really-weird-fabrics-for-clothes news, her meat dress — you remember it well, the beef carcass that was fashioned into a frock and worn to the 2011 MTV VMAs — is going on tour. But not on tour with her as part of the ongoing Born This Way Ball. The L.A. Times reports that the jerky dress has taken on a life of its own and has its own ‘Fame,’ to boot.

It is on display at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C., as it’s part of a traveling exhibit, dubbed ‘Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power.’

The exhibit is curated by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and even though Gaga is a pop star and not a rock star, she has impacted music as a whole with her songs and her cult of personality. The dress has been carefully preserved – dried and painted to look exactly as it was when Gaga first wore it!
