Natrona County Man Denies Shooting Gun At Woman He Met Online

A Natrona County man denied shooting a gun at a woman he met online.

Bryan Dunihoo appeared in Natrona County District Court Friday and pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated assault in connection to events that allegedly occurred June 28.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, Dunihoo met the alleged victim on an online dating site, though he is married.

At roughly 9:50 p.m. the day of the alleged incident, a woman called 911 and said she and her friend were in a car being chased by people in another car and that they were being shot at.

According to the affidavit, the woman learned Dunihoo was still married. The woman contacted Dunihoo's wife, who told her to "come out" to Arminto, where Dunihoo lives, to talk.

When the woman traveled to Arminto, she had trouble finding Dunihoo's home. She decided to drive back to U.S. 20 when she was startled by a set of headlights. The car, which Dunihoo was driving, stopped in front of her and would not let her pass, the affidavit alleges.

When the woman looked over at her passenger's seat, she observed a red laser light from a handgun on her passenger's head. The woman tried to back up and get away when she heard multiple gunshots, according to court documents.

Dunihoo again allegedly blocked the woman's attempt to get back to the main highway before he got out of his car and yelled something at the woman. Dunihoo then got into his vehicle and allowed the woman to drive back to the highway, but Dunihoo chased her back to the highway and almost caused her to wreck, charging documents state.

Speaking with a sheriff's investigator, Dunihoo said he met the woman on an online dating website. According to the affidavit, Dunihoo told the investigator that the woman messaged him on Facebook under a false name and stated that she knew where he lives. He also said he felt the woman was threatening his marriage.

He remains free on bond.
