The term 'how the west was won', as of late, refers to the Denver Nuggets, who with last nights victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, extended their winning streak to 13 consecutive games, which (so far) is their new NBA franchise record.

The Thunder lead for most of the first 2 quarters and by the half, were ahead only 66-65, despite shooting 65% to Denver's 45%. OKC's turnovers and the Nuggets ability to outscore them in the paint kept the game close. The third quarter, however was a different story, as Denver began to step away.

Denver's off the bench point guard and birthday boy, Andre Miller (he turned 37, heck of b-day present this victory was) had an outstanding game with 9 assists, 7 rebounds and 20 points, 13 of which he scored in the fourth quarter alone, which ultimately lead to the Nuggets' victory.

Kenneth Faried added yet another double double to his resume with 13 points and 15 rebounds, not to mention 2 great blocks, one of which was a come from behind on the hated Russell Westbrook. Starting point guard, Ty Lawson lead all Nuggets scorers with 25. All in all, the Nuggets had 6 players in double figures.

Denver's next game will be at home in the Pepsi Center on Thursday, March 21st where they will do battle with the Sixers.
