Sara Bareilles has teamed up with actress Rashida Jones for the video for her new single 'Brave.' Only Jones doesn't star in the vid – she directed it!

Check out these photos of the two lovely brunettes.

The premiere date for 'Brave' is TBD. The song appears on Bareilles' third album 'The Blessed Unrest,' due out July 9. But for now, enjoy these photos and get excited to see the fruits of their labor.

You can also check out the 'Brave' webisode below, where Bareilles talks about writing the new single with Jack Antonoff from fun.

"The lyrics to 'Brave' were inspired by a really close friend of mine who was really struggling with coming out," the singer admitted. Therefore, it's certainly a song that those with similar issues will gravitate towards. Antonoff calls it "a civil rights anthem."

Bareilles declared, "There is so much honor and integrity and beauty in being able to be who you are and it's important to be brave, because by doing that, you give others permission to do the same."

Amen to that. What an empowering track indeed. You can watch their webisode, below.

In other Bareilles news, the singer recently teamed up with a capella group Straight No Chaser for a cover of the Jackson 5 classic 'I Want You Back,' and killed it!
