Sony is preparing the world for the next big innovation in console gaming, the PlayStation 4. Sony launched the first teaser video last Thursday (February 21st, 2012), which highlighted the new graphics and a few upcoming game titles. As an avid Xbox 360 fan, I'm eager to see what new features the PS4 will bring to the table. At first glance, the controller alone looks to add a new experience by incorporating a touch pad at the top of the device. Other new feature is the PlayStation Camera which incorporates two high-sensitive cameras that have wide-angle lenses with 85-degree diagonal angle views which can recognize the depth of space precisely.

The tentative release date for the PS4 is Holiday Season 2013. Could that mean a Christmas launch? More surprising is the rumored $400-499 price tag. When the PS3 first hit the shelves 6 years ago, it boasted a hefty price tag of $599 which gaming expects believe hindered it's sales. A lower MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) may help combat sales against Sony's 2 major competitors, Nintendo & Microsoft.
