If you thought the weather for March was unpredictable, you're going to LOVE this month.

On Saturday, July 9, 2022 several men, women, and children gathered at David Street Station to march for the rights that, they believe, were taken away by the Supreme Court.

“Let’s not be silent,” she said. “Let’s not close our eyes and close our mouths. Let’s keep agitating for change. Maybe what we don’t need is a police department, but a department of public safety.”

Gov. Mark Gordon requested a Presidential Disaster Declaration.

The starting point for Casper's Unity Vigil for George Floyd has been moved from David Street Station to the paved parking lot at the intersection of David Street and Midwest Street.

Police say their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

Since the video of the death of an African-American man, George Floyd, at the hands of a White police officer begin making its round on the internet, there has been a nationwide outcry for justice.

Snow is predicted, but organizers say in a news release that they will not be deterred by the weather.

A year ago, 750 people participated in the march that was expected to attract about 200.

Hamid Khan is the deputy director of the Rule of Law Collaborative, an interdisciplinary center focused on international legal development issues.

The events all intend to show a united front in the fight for the rights of women and other marginalized groups, the release says.

The annual MLK march and festivities will take place January 18th, 2016 at 11am in Casper.
