Apple Recalls Beats XL Pill Speakers

Apple has recalled the Beats Pill XL wireless speakers due to the batteries overheating and creating a fire hazard, according to Apple’s website. Owners are asked to return their speakers to receive a $325 refund from Apple.“Customer safety is always a top priority at both Apple and Beats, and we have voluntarily decided to recall this product,” said a statement posted on the Apple website.

About 222,000 speakers will be recalled in the U.S while 11,000 will be recalled in Canada, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
