A woman who was wanted by authorities in Denver on homicide and arson charges was arrested Tuesday in Casper by local and federal law enforcement.

Delorian D. Douglas, 23, was arrested at roughly 5 p.m. at a home in Casper. Sgt. Joey Wilhelm of the Casper Police Department says CPD officers worked with the Natrona County Sheriff's Office as well as local agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in making the arrest.

Wilhelm told reporters Wednesday morning that Douglas was in Casper trying to hide from law enforcement. She was staying with acquaintances who had no idea that she was wanted by authorities.

Douglas was arrested without incident and had no weapons on her person at the time she was taken into custody.

Wilhelm said the arrest came after local officers had contact with the fugitive task force out of Colorado. Officers then conducted surveillance in Casper and found Douglas at the home where she was arrested.
