Casper Police See Many Traffic Accidents, Declare ‘Snow Day’
After responding to a "high volume" of traffic accidents this morning, the Casper Police Department has declared a 'snow day.'
That means police will not be responding to crashes in which no one is injured. Police are asking people to limit travel to emergencies. Do not travel if not absolutely necessary.
Anyone who is in a crash that results in injury, or a hit-and-run, is asked to call police and an officer will respond.
For those who are involved in a crash without injury, the police department says to exchange information with the other parties involved. Exchange driver's license information, insurance details and get a description of the other vehicle including the license plate number.
Online reports can be filed, or reports can be filed in person at the police department between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday
