A big name business in Casper's Eastridge Mall, as well as 1 of 3 remaining K-Mart stores will soon go out of business.

Sears, which just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, has announced the Casper store (Eastridge Mall) and K-Mart store on East 2nd Street, will close their doors.

An exact closing date has not yet been announced, but liquidation sales are expected to start soon.

The closing is part of 142 unprofitable stores slated for closure, on top of 46 announced back in August. See the full list of closures here.

According to the company's website, Sears hometown stores still exist in Cody, Riverton, Rock Springs and Sheridan.

Back in August, it was announced the K-Mart in Gillette will close by the end of November.

The K-Mart store in Jackson remains open.
