Well here to the firsts! I got my very first flu shot on the air from Eric at one of our great local pharmacies. I have been afraid of flu shots for a couple reasons, one I am sensitive and shots or things effect me worse then other people and second I just fear the pain/needle.

Also I heard you can get really sick from them? Although Eric made it clear that is not true, but you may feel lethargic or have a fever. He made me feel comfortable and the shot was painless it is the actual injection that you can feel. Your arm definitely hurts worse later on afterwords though.

According to the CDC you need a flu vaccine every year because:

A flu vaccine is needed every season for two reasons. First, the body's immune response from vaccination declines over time, so an annual vaccine is needed for optimal protection. Second, because flu viruses are constantly changing, the formulation of the flu vaccine is reviewed each year and sometimes updated to keep up with changing flu viruses. For the best protection, everyone 6 months and older should get vaccinated annually.
