If you look around the state of Wyoming, you're likely to see a Speed Goat. The pronghorn antelope can be found in almost every corner of the state. If you live in Wyoming and you enjoy beer, you've probably drunk a Speed Goat or ten.

The popular beer brewed by Ten Sleep Brewing Company in Ten Sleep, WY, has become a favorite among Wyomingites and visitors alike. The problem with being so popular is that rumors and misinformation can sometimes spread, and that's happening now with Speed Goat beer.

Rumors are circulating that the Golden Ale will no longer be available to bars or restaurants, BUT that is just a rumor, according to Ten Sleep Brewing Company's General Manager, Amanda Evans. In fact, there are NO plans to stop brewing Speed Goat, and as a matter of fact, they're brewing more now than they ever have.

It's also rumored that there are changes to the brewery's ownership and management. Again, according to the GENERAL MANAGER, that is also false.

There are a couple of changes coming, but the beer, the brewery, the staff, and the location are all staying put. One of the upcoming changes will take effect at the beginning of August, when Ten Sleep Brewing Co. will begin working with new distributors to bring its beer to your favorite beer-drinking establishment.

Another true change happening with Speed Goat is that it is now available in cans. The only current issue is that you can get the tasty treat in cans at the taproom in Ten Sleep, but there are plans to offer cans statewide within the next year or two.

In a conversation I had with Amanda, she mentioned that there are reports that some bars and restaurants have removed the Speed Goat handle from their establishment due to the circulating rumors. If that has happened, let them know that beginning in August, they should put it back on tap.

Ten Sleep Brewing Company has been crafting excellent beers since 2013. Speed Goat has become a beloved staple in Wyoming, achieving top status among beer drinkers.

Speed Goat is a golden ale loaded with 2-row and C-15 on the malt side and featuring subtle use of Willamette hops for bittering and aroma. Locally produced Bryant Honey from Worland provides a crisp dryness with a slight honey finish. Easy drinking for folks born and raised on lighter fare, the Speed Goat may go fast, just like its namesake.

Although if you've never visited the brewery in Ten Sleep, it's a great experience and well worth the trip. Not only can you pick up a six-pack of Speed Goat, but you can taste their other beer selections like Outlaw Amber, Pack Saddle Porter, The IPA with No Name, or the Huck n Tuck Wheat. Grab a Mama Z's Pizza, a cold beer, check out the live music they offer on the weekend, and don't believe the negative rumors that you may hear.

According to the management at Ten Sleep Brewing Co:

Speed Goat is here to stay.
