New research reveals that we rank #10 on the list of states where you're most likely to see a UFO, with 71 sightings per 100,000 people or a 1 in 1,408 chance of seeing a UFO. Research from the betting analysis website Action Network shows that not only are people reporting UFO sightings, but with 210 online searches per month, 35 people per 100,000 are searching for information about UFOs.
As we approach World UFO Day on July 2, will the number of sightings or reports increase? Research suggests that the heightened sense of awareness surrounding the day is likely the reason for the increased reports. If you're a betting person, why not take a gamble?
According to the number of reports filed with the National UFO Reporting Center, the United States has the highest number of reported sightings. This is likely due to the center being located in the US and originating from here.
Social Media has led people to try to go above and beyond to "go viral," and some of the reported sightings can likely be false, as a means to generate clicks. It's challenging to know what to believe, especially with the advancement of AI.
