According to a fatality crash summary, 25-year-old Colorado resident Victor Rivera Herrera was behind the wheel of a northbound Ford van when he went off the right side of the interstate.

"The ditch drops off relatively steeply in this area, and as the vehicle traversed the grassy ditch area, where the driver attempted to steer left back onto the roadway, the vehicle began a passenger-side leading slide before tripping and rolling multiple times," the summary reads.

The Patrol says the crash wasn't discovered until dawn, but based on GPS reporting provided by the employer, it happened at 12:22 a.m.

The Patrol says Herrera was not wearing a seat belt.

Herrera is the seventh reported person to die on Wyoming's highways this year.
