The castigation of Peyton Manning  started on the social networks when the Denver Broncos behind another disappointing Manning performance lost in the playoffs.

The Broncos bowed out of the playoffs with a 24-13 home loss to the Colts on Sunday. Manning had an average day, completing 26 of 46 passes for 211 and one touchdown.

"Not a whole lot surprises you in football anymore because every game can go different directions," Manning said after the game. "You certainly didn't see it turning that way after that good first drive."

Manning's career in the post season has been difficult to figure out. He's had some of the greatest regular season numbers of all time.

While his statistics are consistent -- Regular season career: 65.5% completion percentage, 69,691 passing yards, 530 touchdowns, 234 interceptions vs. 63.9% completion percentage, 6,700 passing yards, 38 touchdowns, 24 interceptions in his postseason career -- Manning's ability to win in the postseason leaves a lot to be desired.

The question on everyone's mind after the game, would Manning return for an 18th season?

"I guess I just can't give that simple answer," Manning said. "I'm processing it."
