Massive Food Recall for Blue Bell
Another massive food recall has been ordered over listeria fear.
Blue Bell Creameries, the Texas-based company which produces and distributes frozen desserts, is recalling all of its products after the bacteria was found in cartons of ice cream. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, products from the company’s Texas and Oklahoma plants are being blamed for sickening five adults in Kansas three of whom later died. Another three people were sickened in Texas.
According to the NY Times Blue Bell’s CEO, Paul Kruse, apologized in a taped message saying, “We’re committed to doing the 100-percent right thing, and the best way to do that is to take all of our products off the market until we can be confident that they are all safe.
