New ‘Hellboy’ Movie Has Early Scene That Takes Place In Colorado

The new reboot of Dark Horse Comics' superhero, Hellboy, was released last night (April 11th, 2019) in theaters.

Much to my surprise and delight, an early scene in the new film was set in Colorado. In the above trailer, at roughly around the 1:36 second mark, an outside shot in the mountains is said to be the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.), which is the base of operations for Hellboy and his super powered cohorts. The movie takes place in many different countries, so before each map shift, the destination is written in a very large font on the screen.

The reboot stars David Harbour (of Stranger Things fame) in the title role, taking the reigns from Ron Perlman.
