Representative Patrick Kennedy: ‘Taylor Swift Is Already a Part of the Family’
If Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy really do elope, or if they eventually settle down for a more traditional wedding, Swift won’t have to wonder whether she has the Kennedy family’s approval. One prominent member said that the family already adores the superstar singer.
Conor Kennedy’s uncle, former U.S. representative Patrick Kennedy, spoke with TMZ briefly outside the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. He told the gossip show, “We love Taylor Swift … she’s been a great friend and we’re happy for Conor. If she wants to be in the family, she’s already a part of it.”
It looks like there’s no resentment from the Kennedys over the wedding that Swift crashed. That’s one less thing for Taylor to worry about as she and Conor plan to attend the MTV Video Music Awards tomorrow.
Conor, 18, and Taylor, 22, were spotted holding hands in July and have been spending time together ever since. The New York Post reported last week that Swift chartered a private jet to bring Conor to Nashville because she couldn’t stand to be away from him.
“Taylor missed Conor so much, she sent a plane for him a few days later,” a source said. “He’s been with her ever since, and his family doesn’t know when he will be back. Things have become so serious between them so fast that no one in Hyannis Port would be surprised if they eloped.”
