‘The Voice of Casper’ Returns To The Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo
Are you a singer? Do you have what it takes to be the Casper's next big star?
The Voice of Casper returns to the Central Wyoming Fair & Rodeo, July 6th-14th, 2018 with vocalists from across Wyoming invited to compete in a vocal competition show.
The celebrity coaches include Trisha Berry from My Country 95.5, Jason Ford from Ford & Fossil, booking agent Kelley Cajun with Frontier Brewing, and GM of the Ramkota Hotel and former Casper Trooper, Renee Penton-Jones.
The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: the blind auditions, the battle rounds, the playoffs and finally, the live performance show.During the blind auditions, the decisions from the coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don't get to see them - thanks to rotating chairs. A coach impressed by an artist's voice will spin their chair around to select the singer for his/her team. If multiple coaches spin their chair for a singer, the power then shifts to the artist to choose which coach he/she wants to work with. If no coach spins his/her chair, the contestant is eliminated from the competition. Once the teams are set, the battle is on. Coaches will dedicate themselves to developing the artists on their team, giving advice, sharing their opinions on the secrets of success and getting help from their advisers.
During the battle rounds, the coaches will pit two team members against each other to sing the same song together in front of a live audience. After the vocal battle, the coach must choose which of the two singers will advance to the next round of competition.
At the end of the battles, only the strongest members of each coach's roster remain and proceed to the playoff round. The artists will be paired again with a team member, the artists each select their own songs and perform individually while their competitor watches and waits. They are vying for their coach's confidence and decision to take them to the finale. Their coach will choose the winner and the artist not selected will be sent home.
At the final performance phase of the competition, the top artist from each team will compete against each other in a finale. The audience will vote to save their favorite artist. The contestant with the most votes will be named "The Voice of Casper". Prizes will be awarded in 1st - 4th places.
