World Renowned Italian Violinist Joins The Wyoming Symphony March 19th And 20th
Join the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra for an epic celebration, with Epic 3rds!, Saturday, March 19th or Sunday, March 20th at Wheeler Concert Hall at Casper College. This concert features two of symphonic music’s most famous masterpieces, in what promises to be the most stirring performance of the season.
Headlining this exciting event is award winning Deutsche Grammophon recording artist Francesca Dego, performing the 3rd Concerto of Camille Saint-Saens, followed by the drama of Johannes Brahms epic 3rd Symphony.
Traveling from Milan, Francesca Dego has been hailed as one of the best young Italian violinists of her generation. Winner of numerous national and international competitions, in 2008 she was the first Italian female violinist since 1961 to reach the final of the revered “Paganini Competition” in Genoa and she won the “Enrico Costa” prize for having been the youngest finalist and has just signed a contract to play at the Royal Music Hall in London.
This season offers the option of performances either Saturday evening at 7:30pm or Sunday matinees at 2:30pm on concert weekends. Ticket prices are the same for both performances at the beautiful Wheeler Concert Hall. We continue to offer the Family Pass; which gives access to dress rehearsals on the Saturday of each concert weekend starting at noon, $10 for the entire family.
