A Casper man was arrested Friday evening after a domestic dispute in which he allegedly bit a woman.

Ezra Earl Wallace, born in 1977, is facing recommended charges of felony domestic violence and strangulation of a household member.

In an affidavit of probable cause, police alleged that Wallace and a woman were arguing for most of the day Friday before the incident became violent.

Wallace, the victim and an infant were driving in the area of South Poplar Street and Collins Drive earlier in the day when Wallace "launched into a tirade." According to the affidavit, the victim was breastfeeding the baby when Wallace accused her of "inviting the devil" and enticing construction workers.

During their investigation, police learned that Wallace had a history of violence toward the victim. In a previous incident, Wallace allegedly wanted to show the victim a bible verse at 3 a.m. When the victim tried to continue sleeping, Wallace allegedly dragged her out of the bed and slammed her head into a wall.

The date of that incident is unknown, according to the affidavit.

In the incident Friday, Wallace allegedly tried to take the baby from the victim before placing the victim in a chokehold. The affidavit states that the victim clutched onto the infant to avoid dropping him.

According to the affidavit, the victim had to choose between protecting herself or dropping the baby. She chose to hold onto the baby.

During the struggle, Wallace allegedly bit the victim's left shoulder blade.

When police spoke with Wallace, he continually made references to "god's plan" and government conspiracies against him, the affidavit alleges.

Wallace allegedly tried to fight officers when he was arrested. The affidavit alleges Wallace told deputies at the Natrona County Detention Center that he was going to fight them and made statements to the effect that he was "going to put a show on for his kids." Wallace also allegedly told deputies to "get their Tasers ready" and continued to fight until he was strapped down to a restraint chair, according to the affidavit.
