The 108th Border War football game is Saturday night in Fort Collins between the Wyoming Cowboys and Colorado State Rams.

Both teams enter with 2-2 records. It is the Mountain West opener for both teams. This almost marks the earliest meeting, date-wise, in the rivalry series since 2001. Colorado State has won three straight and leads the overall series 58-44 with five ties. The game almost is the 49th meeting for the travelling trophy, the “Bronze Boot.” That stands at 24-24.

Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl previews what it will be like against the rival Rams.

The Pokes are also looking to get a road win for the first time in nearly two years. Wyoming’s last break-through outside of Laramie was at Fresno State Nov. 1, 2014. Bohl was asked about how he helps a team trying to get that elusive road win.

Bohl also knows his team has to match-up better from a physical stand-point in order to have an opportunity to break the current skid against CSU.

Kick-off is at 8:15 p.m. Saturday from Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins. The game is available in Laramie on KOWB (AM 1290) starting at 7 p.m. It’s also being televised on ESPNU.
