With the weather starting to remind us that summer is over, many Casper folks are starting to look to the south while gearing up for some time on the slopes.

While it's always fun to ski or snowboard in our own backyard, many people don't realize how much time and effort go into making Hogadon presentable for the winter. For the 20th straight year, "Tune-Up Day" gives volunteers a chance to clean up the ski resort, while winning prizes and having a fun experience. Casper, WY - Hogadon Ski Area is excited to announce the return for the twentieth consecutive year of the Hogadon “Tune-Up Day”, which will take place September 20th, 2014.

The annual “Tune-Up Day” was founded in 1995 by a volunteer organization dedicated to the beautification and preservation of Hogadon Ski Area. On the third Saturday of every September these loyal volunteers organize the event with the help of 70+ volunteers and businesses.

The “Tune-Up Day” is a fun way to make a difference in the preservation of the Hogadon Ski Area which celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2013. The volunteer organization that puts on the event works with local businesses to offer great door prizes to make the event one to remember! The group has received both a Congressional Commendation and a Governor’s Proclamation for their efforts over the years.

This year, the event will take place from 9:00am-12:00pm on September 20th at Hogadon Ski Area. Please come out to make a difference in the Casper community by volunteering with cleanup efforts at the local ski area.
