Fishtailing Trailer Leads to Fatal Rollover Crash

According to a fatality crash summary, three people were traveling in a Chevrolet pickup that was towing a 1980 Chevrolet C10 pickup when the towed pickup began to fishtail.

"The towed vehicle swerved into the opposite lane of travel, overcorrected, left the roadway to the right, and overcorrected a second time, tripping and rolling twice," the summary reads.

Sadly, one of the passengers, Tommy Ortega, who was not wearing a seat belt, did not survive the crash.

The other passenger and the driver were not injured.

The summary does not list any possible contributing factors.

Ortega is the 69th reported person to die on Wyoming's highways this year.
