The wait is over! Mortal Kombat X is finally here! The tenth game in the series was officially released yesterday (April 14th, 2015) on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. If you're anything like me and still rocking you're Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, fear not... it will be ported over sometime later this year.

Thus buzz for Mortal Kombat X has been nothing shy of spectacular. The game was developed by NeatherRealm Studios. In addition to all the blood and gore you're used to, some new features have been added, like the new "X-Ray" special moves and the ability to react with the background environment (much like the DC Comics-themed, 'Injustice: Gods Among Us', created by the same company). There's plenty more, of course, but we don't want to give up all the secrets.

There are quite a few different modes of game play, including a very deep story-mode that follows along with the mythos of the canon. Also, there is already new downloadable content. New characters available include a Predator alien and horror movie icon, Jason Vorhees.

Whether you're new to Mortal Kombat or have been a fan since the original arcade version, no doubt you'll enjoy this game.
