For this week's Throwback Thursday video, we party it up with the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige. Often credited as opening the doors for the blending of R&B artist with Hip-Hop acts, which has pretty much become the stable since the mid-90s, as well as opening the door for other prominent artists (such as Mariah Carey) to do the same has made her a pioneer.
The question has been asked (multiple times on Facebook last evening), how I can call myself a disc jockey and never heard of Michael Buble'. I'm not sure exactly, but I stumbled upon his 3rd annual Christmas special last night and was amazed. The guy can really sing!
Sublime songstress Mary J. Blige has been hit with yet another tax lien -- this one totaling $3.4 million for unpaid taxes in Bergen County, N.J. Sounds like even 2013 won't offer her a break.
If you feel like you haven’t read enough controversy surrounding Mary J. Blige’s charity (Foundation For The Advancement of Women Now) — from lawsuits to tax problems — here’s another bit for you. NY Post reports that FFAWN has failed to pay the 25 scholarships promised to the graduating girls of the Women’s Academy of Excellence girls back in 2010. Yikes!
As Mary J. Blige celebrates her 41st birthday today (Jan. 11), the songbird gave her fans a surprise gift of her own — Drake appearing in her updated video for ‘Mr. Wrong.’ If you remember when the clip was released back in December there was no Drizzy to be found.
Mary J. Blige can do no wrong in our book. The veteran songbird comes through with another visually-stunning video for ‘Mr. Wrong,’ the latest single from her LP ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1).’ The clip features Blige in several different glamorous outfits and wigs that are reminiscent of her style during the ‘My Life’ album period.
