The Wyoming Game and Fish Department recently announced that they are monitoring a national outbreak of "highly pathogenic avian influenza," otherwise known as bird flu.
In mid-February, a smallmouth bass was found in the Gardner River, north of Yellowstone, which could indicate more of the invasive species along the river.
This time of year the large herds of big game animals will migrate around the state and need to cross roads to be able to find the nourishment they need.
