I. Love. Cheesy. Christmas. Movies.

And I refuse to apologize.

My idea of heaven is an entire day spent on my couch in sweats and a hoodie, cuddled up with my daughters under a cozy blanket, watching hour after hour of predictable holiday-themed happily ever after movies.

There is something so emotionally soothing about watching a movie that you know will end with happy tears and most likely an engagement ring.

Yes I know it's basically the same plot the entire time, but rather than finding it annoying I think it's incredibly comforting!

A fiesty career-driven woman meets the tough guy handyman and ends up turning his small town's economy from a big bust into a thriving revitalization project...all while wearing perfectly styled outfits (complete with knee-high boots and adorable knit hats). Somewhere along the way, there is a chaste moonlit kiss that results in a lifetime of love.

Happy sigh.

For those of you that are like me and relish this time of year, I have gathered up the ultimate list of Holiday movies.

Let's start first with Hallmark's Countdown to Christmas.

Here a few of my favorites from this year's list.

"Weeks before Christmas, Abbey is hired to decorate the estate of businessman Nick. She must break down the wall between her and Nick, all while keeping the holiday spirit alive."

This one is a twist on the regular plotline because it's the guy that is a bah humbug instead of the woman, and the title is pretty fun to say.

"The movie centers around a recently single Jessica who sends Christmas cards to people who have impacted her life -- the aunt who raised her, her younger brother in the military, a popstar who was part of the soundtrack of her life, the music teacher who inspired her, and the best friend who always tells the truth."

One of the Christmas cards brings an unexpected visitor that results in...you guessed it...a happily ever after for Jessica.

Now, let's talk about Netflix.

In the last few years, they've really upped their Christmas Movie game.

They created several made for Netflix movies including my favorite, the "A Christmas Prince" series (supposedly a third movie in this series will be out this year) and the children's movie "The Christmas Chronicles"

This year they added some classic Hallmark Christmas Movies to their line up AND are creating a few new cheesy love stories of their own.

"When her husband abruptly ends their marriage, empty nester Kate embarks on a solo second honeymoon in Africa, finding purpose -- and potential romance"

This movie stars Kristin Davis (Charlotte from Sex and the City) and Rob Lowe so it's an automatic win in my book.

"With Christmas just around the corner, sisters Miranda and Lyla bring their families to their childhood home, where rivalries don't take a holiday."

This British film has a bit more of an edge and is more of a family feel-good movie rather than a love story, but will still leave you with all the warm fuzzy feelings you are looking for.

You can find a list of 45 of the best Christmas movies you can stream on Netflix by following this link.

FUN FACT: If you pay attention, in all the made for Netflix movies, the main characters are all watching Netflix at some point.

Last but not least we have Amazon Prime Video. They have classics like "The Miricle on 34th Street" and new movies as well.

"The Man Who Invented Christmas tells the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol."

Keep in mind this movie will be gone on November 21st so you better put it at the top of your must-watch list.

"When champion figure skater Claire becomes injured she is sent to a rehabilitation center in the snowy mountains where she meets and falls for a local ice fisherman who shows her there is more to life than competition."

This movie has a bit of a "The Cutting Edge" vibe, which I think we can all agree is one of the best movies ever. Cue the slow-motion skating scenes and snowy cold kisses.

Just to prove to Doc that I'm not crazy with my Christmas sock and Hot Cocoa filled joy of cheesy Christmas movies, I went to Facebook to find out what you think.

Looks like I'm not the only one who wholeheartedly embraces cheesy Christmas Movies ;)
