Throwback Thursday: Britney Spears [VIDEO]

Another week, another Throwback Thursday is here! So far, we've been focusing on Hip-Hop, but I decided this week we'd throw some Pop/R&B into the mix. And what better way to do that then with Britney Spears. She's come a long way from being a cute little Mouseketeers on the Mickey Mouse Club (along with fellow alumni, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera & JC Chasez).

I picked the "I'm A Slave 4 U" video for today, becasue it shows her coming into adult hood and consequently shedding the "... Baby One More Time" Britney. It also showcases a young duo of producers known as The Neptunes of which Pharrell Williams is a member and how he found his initial fame. Britney stepped out and showed she could be a sex symbol without going too crazy... at least at this stage of her career. What's with the female kid stars growing up and losing it anyway (see also: Lindsay Lohan & Miley Cyrus)?

At any rate, Britney at least has got her stuff together. You go girl!
