Throwback Thursday: PM Dawn [VIDEO]

This weeks Throwback Thursday is PM Dawn. This jam right here was a tribute to the late great Jimi Hendrix, entitled: You Got Me Floating.

I never really got into Jimi until this song actually, as I was big into Hip-Hop and I grew up in the funk era. Whatever the case maybe, I saw this video right before I joined the Marine Corps and I'll never forget, when I got to my first duty station in Okinawa, Japan, our little PX store had a eatery with a video jukebox and I would play this song every time I was there. Nothing like nostalgia.

I later found out PM Dawn's two members Prince Bee (the big guy that sang lead) and DJ Minutemix were actually brothers and their stepfather was one the founding members of disco, soul, funk band: Kool & the Gang.
